Juvenile Justice
Juvenile Justice, a South Korean drama, depicts that a judge who is extremely disgusted with juvenile offenders pursues justice and tries to make juvenile offenders self-reflection by severe penalties. As the matter of fact, I really enjoy this type of dramas and all its casts have natural performance; hence, it is undoubted that when I know this drama, I would select to watch it. Besides, most of cases which it deals with are based on true stories. Therefore, its plot would not be too weird to watch.
Thanks to Juvenile Justice, I realize that there are a lot of seamy sides of our society and we still need to pay attention to social issues, juvenile delinquency especially. Before I watch this South Korean drama, it is hard for me to imagine that adolescents can commit felonies such us rape, murder, and dismemberment. Even now, I still cannot believe Juvenile Justice is adapted from some real tragedies. Moreover, I always think that if I were the victim what I would do after experiencing gang rape or knowing that my children was killed. However, I totally do not predict what I would do because those situations are far from me.
In addition, Juvenile Justice brings much reflection to us. According to its plot, it shows that the cause of a lot of juvenile delinquency is social environment and their growth backgrounds. Thus, we should give them second opportunities to turn over a new leaf. Nonetheless, whether we sacrifice victims’ justice to provide them chances is a problem. Therefore, it is important to seek a balance between justice and tolerance. Of course, the correction of juvenile offenders is indispensable because it can prevent juvenile offenders from committing crimes again.
Unlike boring lecturing, Juvenile Justice uses interesting plots to tell us problems in our society and encourage us to discuss and think. Hence, I recommend you to watch this South Korean drama. You can not only enjoy its exciting plots but also pay attention to social issues. By the way, you would not be worried with bloody images because the focus of this drama is juvenile's growth background and social environment instead of the degree of crimes. If you have free time, you can try to enjoy it.
