A Trip for Two Days in Cijin District
At the end of the summer vacation, my family decided to go camping in Cijin District. As the matter of fact, my family were the complete novices, so we selected to sleep in yurts with comfortable furniture, air conditioning and power sockets instead of in tents with sleeping bad, sleeping pad and camping lamp.
On day 1, we visited Cijin old street by renting a tandem bicycle and three YouBikes. The old street as the main street in Cijin was full of people. Therefore, in order to escape the overcrowded place, we rode our bicycles to go to Cihou Fort. In this tourist attraction, the mottled ramparts made of red bricks revealed how they protected the Kaohsiung Harbor in the past. Afterwards, we departed for Cijin Tunnel of Stars. In this beautiful tunnel, we found that there were a lot of colorful murals on its wall. Owing to the change of light, when we roamed in this tunnel, it seems we rambled under the stars. Unfortunately, Because of the heavy rain, we had no choice but to stop our plan and went to the camping area.
On day 2, after we left the camping area, Rainbow Arch, a famous instagrammable place, was our next destination. Due to Monday, it is uncommon for the Rainbow Arch to be so empty that we could take a picture without queue. In addition to this noted Rainbow Arch, we also noticed an extremely adorable plant which was trimmed into a round shape. Then, we had lunch in a normal seafood restaurant. To our astonishment, each bowl of noodles was not only filled with seafood but also sold in a inexpensive price. However, thanks to the hot weather, all of us felt tired and impatient. Thus, we finish the trip hastily and went back home to rest.
Via this trip in Cijin, I had the greatest respect for my cousin because she planned the whole program by our likes and dislikes. Besides, she always searched lots of information to ensure that she could make us have a happy trip. Although the atmosphere turned into embarrassed at the end of trip, I was still content with this trip and it became one of my favorite memories. Nonetheless, the only fly in the ointment was that I didn’t like to eat seafood, so I could not enjoy the delicacies above mentioned.
